Students learned to blend colors to create gradations
Watercolor Abstracted Emotions
Students were introduced to line as an expressive element
and continuing to explore composition, color theory,
and water colors by choosing an emotion that they expressed abstractly
Watercolor Abstracted Names
To further students' exploration of composition, color theory, and use of
water colors students overlapped the letters of their name
to create abstract compositions that were visually interesting.
Students were challenged to use a color harmony/theme
The goal was not to be able to read their name,
but to create something visually interesting
Introduction to water color
Students were introduced to color theory and created small
