In preparation for the HumanThread I AM juried student exhibition
we offered a free teacher workshop in December
Teaching artist Sophia assisted with the workshop
Participants discussed their own "I AMs"
Then created a timeline using a variety of materials
This was a great time for Chicago art educators to mix and mingle,
and share ideas about the project and their curriculum
There was a great mix of art produced as well as ideas
Everyone enjoyed the time to make art and share
Each artist approached the assignment in their own unique way
At the end we shared our creations
